How to be a mystery shopper

You do not need any special qualifications to do this job, however there is usually a small online application and possibly they may want to talk to you over the phone first. This makes it a good earner if you need extra cash. You will be employed by one of the main agencies that work on behalf of many major companies. They will send you the tasks and you can pick and choose if there are jobs you really do not want to do.

Most of the task will involve you visiting a retail outlet, this could be a bar, pub, nightclub, pizza house, furniture shop, dentist, opticians, bakers, the list is endless. You will be asked to perform certain tasks such as asking specific questions and later recording the responses you get. You may have to look out for a specific thing inside a shop such as are the windows clean or how were you greeted.

Some jobs may require you to make a purchase, this is the good part as most of the purchases you get to keep. There are usually many mystery shops at fast food outlets so you are in fact getting paid to eat. However you will usually have to order something specific as many checks they want you to do is make sure the outlet gets the order right.
